Got my first egg today!!!!!!!

Great day in the morning!!! I remember how proud I was of my girls too. Mine have been laying now for three months and I love it. I have 10 hens and get between 6 and 10 eggs a day.

I know how you and your husband feel about the cost of getting those chickens a home, food and care. Good luck with you hens.

WooHoo! We found two more today and they were even in the nest boxes!

To answer FizzyZow's question....
We have 13 Red Star hens (red sexlink chicks from McMurry)
3 easter eggers (supposed to be Ameracanas but I bought them fron the feed store so ofcourse there not)
1 Dominique rooster

So far we've only found brown eggs. My daughters are waiting for the green ones.
