Got my first egg today!

Last August I picked up 6 chicks from Tractor Supply. 3 blue wyandottes and 3 Amerucaunas. Today, we finally discovered an egg! I'm pretty sure its fertilized since my roo has been going to town for a few weeks now. Pics of the daddy and his lovely ladies

I have been looking every day for a good month now. Wouldn't ya know my son was the one to find the first one LOL nevertheless I think I may try to incubate it. Would be super cool if the first one also hatched

Ive always wondered if a chickens first egg would hatch! Try it! I'm gonna try it when my silkie starts laying

I've been reading all over and most say as long as the rooster has been in with them the first egg shouldn't be any different than any other as long as its size is normal. I was shocked to not see a fairy egg first. This is a good sized egg.
