Got my first eggs! What colors could I see if they hatch? Silkies.

Mom is blue....and if fertile, this would be the papa. He's also my avatar.

These are her first eggs, and I know it's not likely she'll sit on them....but is it true they usually lay a clutch and THEN sit or would she begin sitting now? There are 3 in there (possibly 4 as of this am).

I want new babies!

My Silkies would rather set than eat. After she lays a clutch she may set them. I have 3 in a pen with the rooster & someone is always setting. Alot of time all three girls together in the same nestbox.
Good luck.............babies are my favorite part too. I am a hatchoholic.....LOL

My blue hen when she started laying she just layed for a whole week then started setting on them. She is on her third clutch and she is only about 8 months old, they are excellent moms
