Got my first quail egg of the season!!!!!!!!!!!

this evening while i was feeding my quail i found a beautiful spotted egg in the nest!!! I was soooooo excited I screamed and jumped up and down. I will post pics when i have time.

Congrats on the first egg.

I only recently got my quail and was surprised when after 8 days I got my first egg. I was pretty excited myself I love the spotty colour of them. - and cant wait for the first babies too -

Funny, I had that same talk to my birds. First I said it to my quail, and they demanded more feed. Then I said it to my silkie, who then turned around and crowed.

LOL if your silkie crowed then perhaps you won't be getting an egg from that particular birdie..Mine are laying like mad, they just started two weeks ago and yesterday I got 10 eggs from 10 quail hens. Thet have a light on them though, 24 hrs a day because it is still rather cold out here..

here is the quail egg I promised next to a duck egg,pretty aint it!
