So the second picture.... ( I'm sorry if i don't get yall's point. I'm confused) I understand the Tibetan and the Tuxedo CANNOT be feather sexed. Gotcha! One of my tuxedos is male because i vent checked and he is all male.

plus he keeps chasing the other tuxedos so i separated them because they aren't laying yet. But the light brown one....... Can it be feathersexed? All of the light brown ones are similar in coloring, as in same color. But one has no spots. And then there are two that have spots plus rusty coloring.

also, what will i get if i breed my tibetan with a brown coturnix(wild color) or a tuxedo?

The bird in picture #2 is a rooster. Here is a picture of a coturnix rooster. The hens will have black spots or speckles on their chests. The males have the rust coloring like this...

If you cross the Tibetian to the Jumbo Brown/Pharaoh you will get Tibetians and Jumbo Browns. If you cross it with the tuxedo you'll get mostly Tibetians, a few tuxedos, and possibly a white.

thank you very much! I think i'm going tomorrow to get a few more browns. Not from the same buyer though. He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. There's a man about an hour away that has browns. But they're only 3 weeks old. I'll put them in my empty pen and raise them and hopefully have some good birds. I've seen what not enough females will do. I'm hoping that by 3 weeks, the browns are feather sexable?? ???? ...... That way i can have some more hens to pair with that male.

Thanks for all of yall's help! I came to chicken forums already knowing a lot. But i literally have learned all I know about quail in the past few days.
