Last year we built a "dog house" with a hole for the hen to go in, but also with a removable side for easy access. Today I put it inside a kennel, that we ran rabbit wire along the inside to keep chicks in. I put a few eggs in an unused cat litter box and put it inside the doghouse. I put her in and later went to check on her, and she's sitting on the eggs. So now it's just waiting on the eggs I've ordered. I'm gonna see if I can get hubby to build a double nesting box for inside, since I have another hen about 1/2 through incubating, and I can put both in there.
