Got my new Hova-Bator 1588!

I am so excited! It came in the mail today. Got it set up and going. Eggs are on the way. Also on the way is a Brinsea Octogon 20 Advance EX that I bought used. Yay! I am going to be an incubating fool!

I have the 1588 too! I love it! On our second hatch and it's so easy!!!!
I'm sure you'll love it!

It only sat empty one day in between, and i'm ordering eggs this weekend to fill it as soon as this batch comes out on the 8th! LOL!

I have silkie eggs on the way and Java and lavender Orpington eggs to be shipped out today so they will be here soon too! And I am bidding on rhode island red eggs. LOL. I hope everything goes good! Having eggs shipped is kind of nerve wrecking!

I recently bought the Hova-Bator 1588 too!!

LOVE it!

I think I had maybe 27 eggs in there. Five of them were not ever fertile and were subsequently thrown away. Two died during some stage of development.

ALL the rest hatched with no problems!

If you get the egg turner, I would advise removing it when you go for lockdown.

I got the 1588 a couple months ago. Had great results with my first hatch - Barred Rocks, Blue Rocks, Welsummer, Light Brown Leghorns, Rhode Island Reds and Gold Laced Wyandottes. Got a bunch of hatching eggs ready and plan to get it started up again in a few days.

Oh! I have a hove-bator! This is my second batch and ALL the eggs are forming! And will be hatching next week! (thursday!)
