Got My Quail!

I've had quail before but go my new 5 quail today. The male is the white one. Sooo excited!

Yes, but I sell the eggs. Quail are what pay for my bird expenses!

People buy quail eggs to hatch or eat? Guess I should read up on them. They sure are cute.

Hatching or eating. Quail are also bought for dog training, meat, pets, etc... they are a very profitable bird because they require less room than a chicken and mature in 8 weeks, as well as lay an egg a day.

I believe there are some health benefits to eating quail eggs as well. I worked with a physician who said she could not eat chicken eggs but she could eat quail eggs. It has been a while since I looked into it but there seemed to be some validity to it.
