Partly because I just like the brown eggs better, just for looks, they remind me of my grandmother's eggs. She had RIR's.

And partly because I sell eggs, and the people who like to buy farm fresh eggs like brown. They seem to also like the green and blue ones a lot.

From the research I have done I believe its a model from the 20s. I havent been able to find much more information than I can't believe they used to use these things for kids hahahaha.
