Got myself into a pickle....re: bator got too hot? will they live?

I didn't open the eggs, but they died, I candled them and was certain. I didn't want the sadness of inspecting the eggs if I didn't need to know a cause of death.

BUT, just so you know, I incubate in greenhouse trays with seedling mats. I agree, the real incubator makes it easier, but until my husband finishes the one he's started for me (DIY incubators are actually REALLY easy, if he or you are handy). Perseverance, and I'm only days from another hatch now. :) Candle them once they're back to normal temp, and let us know what you see!
 
Oh and FYI you don't sound like a fool - you sound like me, still working out the kinks. Everyone loses eggs. :)

.YIKES.Cross your finger's and toe's.Let Us know if ya get any.I hatched 3 last wekk and bator had gotten 104 very shortly but I lost 8 in that run.
 
I think mine were about day 14. It's hard to wait for this batch now, cuz I feel like they should be here by now!
