*Got One* Starter incubator

Nope - I don't have any Silkies (yet). I'm starting out in Bantam Cochins - I have some Columbian hatching eggs coming next week that I'm super-excited about.

Celtic Hill- The Little Giant still-air incubator is really just okay. If you try it, and like hatching, and ever decide to upgrade, you should really go with a Brinsea. No one ever has anything but good things to say about them. I have one Brinsea Octagon 20 Eco that I LOVE and I'm picking up another one with an auto-turning cradle next week!

Yea, i knew it was only "OK" when i got it, Im currently trying to figure out the temp settings, Im pretty close, ive got it in the 99-103 range right now, i want it lower tho. I don't have eggs yet, hopefully i can figure it out tonight so i can set tomorrow, cuz i all i have to do is walk out the the neighbor's coop and get some eggs, they said i could have some to do a test run.

Yes, Brinsea ECO 20.

Plug and play, it is so fool-proof and rock solid that it is boring (if you ever struggled with anything else).

Another word set-it-and-forget-it.

I just ordered this one today-on sale for 99.00. I spent my 30.00 savings on the 24.00 shipping. This forum talked me into it!

You won't regret it! It's a great incubator! I can put my shipped eggs into it knowing that, if anything killed them, it was the shipping, not weird fluctuations in my incubator!

Celtic Hill - If your using local eggs from right next door that haven't been subjected to the traumas of shipping, your new LG should give you a great hatch! Good luck!
