Okay, so the past few days i've been trying to put together an homade 'bator. But i havn't found all the stuff, so im just going to talk to family and see if they have any of the stuff. meanwhile i got a bator! It's the Little Giant Air Incubator from TSC, my mom works there so she gets a discount and i was able to get it at a good price

That's how it starts! I started out with one big 4'x8' duck pen for my three ducks. I thought it was way more space than I'd ever need.

Now, I have two 4'x8' pens, a 4'x4' pen, another duck pen in construction, and a double chicken coop in the works for the fall!

I would recommend the Brinsea Mini Eco. You'll have to turn it yourself, but I've got the advanced (with the turner) and it keeps temperatures and humidity BRILLIANTLY! Can't recomment Brinsea enough. Simple to use and have had outstanding hatching rates (the last batch was 100%!). Oh, and well under $100.

Nope - I don't have any Silkies (yet). I'm starting out in Bantam Cochins - I have some Columbian hatching eggs coming next week that I'm super-excited about.

Celtic Hill- The Little Giant still-air incubator is really just okay. If you try it, and like hatching, and ever decide to upgrade, you should really go with a Brinsea. No one ever has anything but good things to say about them. I have one Brinsea Octagon 20 Eco that I LOVE and I'm picking up another one with an auto-turning cradle next week!
