Went out to check on the chickies after work yesterday and someone left me a gift in the corner of the coop!!!! Then today there was another. Nice shell, very light brown. Not sure which girl is laying but I am pretty sure it's our Splash Silkie as she is the oldest and closest to laying age. Now I have to get the nesting boxes done by this weekend so they stop laying eggs on the floor!! With the short days and winter, and as young as they all are I didn't think we would see any eggs until spring, hence the delay on building nesting boxes. . Yay for our girls!!
