If I am brave, I might share some similar photos in the coming week. We are fixing a wall in one room and then redoing another. Thankfully this "we" job includes men (and not my bf this time) being paid. But I am doing all the finish from the taping on.
In order to do this work I have to get up in the attic, with the shop vac and hope I do not fall through the almost paper ceilings and suck up all the 120 years of rats etc. To do that I first have to unload 120 years worth of junk. To unload the junk I need both boys to help and a place to put this stuff. So we have to clean out a store room that is also rat infested (we thought they were gone but no such luck) and to use that room, I have to clean out a garage that looks like a strong wind could blow it over. Cleaning the garage includes suiting/masking up and packing about 500 pounds of asbetos cement siding tiles, hauling out about 150 pounds of random garden fertilizer in wet rotten bags, about 75 random cans of paint plus about 30 cans of spray paint, and a zillion other haz mat items. And 2 truck loads of old wood, metal for the metal recycler..............oh man! I am tired! Some time in the future, we will have to unload the garages and fix the crumbling sills....but for now, I am going to be happy cutting a cat hole in the side so at least the rats can have company with fangs.
Ohhhhh this is my parents house not mine, yet
