Got rid of the roosters

OK- I just re-homed my roosters (2 of them) leaving me all hens. What should I expect b way of behavior? Will there be any noticeable change or will it be as simple as one hen coming to the front to manage the others? They are 11 weeks old now.

I dont think there will be any changes. I am thinking about keeping hens only myself.

I have rehomed FIVE roosters on Craigslist. Two of the roosters were thrown in on pullet purchases. One gal took 3 roosters, but I had to drive an hour & 1/2 round trip to meet her. It is alot of work and hassle. I cannot believe I am getting some straight run birds, again, this Spring!

FREE was the key word to get rid of my roosters- and quite frankly, I think I'm lucky to have done so. He was craigslisted for 4 weeks! A local man wanted to keep a few around the yard to scratch stuff up and to keep some hens in order. He'd had roo's in the past and his neighbor's dog got to them.

I know hens sometimes will start to crow after their rooster has left.

Not to worry, if I rehome these seven, I will still have two adult roosters and I'm pretty sure there are at least 4-5 in the brooder. AND the 14 eggs in the bator!

I rehomed my roo through craigslist for the sum of free.
Six days later I google how long eggs remain fertile after the roo is gone. Fertility above 96% for 7 days.
So I grab the eggs day 6 & 7 and hatched them. I also
bought 15 straight run. Two of the 8 I hatched have
cross beak. 23 chances I have roosters. My guess is just
under half are roos.
