That's just food coloring. When they are too small for bands then and we keep the chicks marked from what pairs/trios/quads.

This is a little Serama I hatched from a batch of eggs I ordered from a breeder(can't recall right now what the breed was I got). They sent me 2 Serama eggs as extras and this one of the two hatched. She now belongs to someone else.
She is about 6-8 weeks here...

Here she is in the middle of 2 one wk old lg fowl mixes and 3 two wk old Jap mixes

Would love to have a birdcage with a few Serama hens in it.

I knew it had to be one or the other... we were always trading around and such. Now that hubby is softening again into letting me have chickens(hens only no roos). I'd like to have a few girly Serama as pets.
