Got some hens from a friend, what are they (pics)

Probably really easy for you all to spot, this is all still new to me.... and they all lay brown eggs

(these black ones have white or dark earlobes.)


I'm thinking a few are some brahma mix, without the feather legs? The black maybe a jersey or australorp?

the only brown layer I know that has white lobes is the penedesenca, but leg color looks wrong..
Maybe they are all mixes

#2 looks like a gold lakenvelder, again wrong leg color though...

yeah, the more I look, they look similar to some breeds but part is completely off....I am voting mixes

i figured mixed, but was wondering what kind of mixes. No big deal, was just hoping someone would know. =O) LOL. Eventually when my youngsters get bigger, i will assort my flock by breed, so they will all be purebred!

#4 looks like my Minorca hen. She lays white eggs, so yours is probably a cross if laying brown eggs.

#3 could have some RIR in her genetics

The 1st one looks a lot like mine except mine lay white eggs. Mine are a result of a Blue Andalusian crossed with mixed breed hens.

thanks for the answers. They have pretty markings, and they are pretty little, look like a bantam breed.
