Gorgeous! Maybe you can help me convince my SO that NNs are truly wonderful birds . . . he is a fan of lots of poof, but I'd love to have some chickens that aren't ashamed to show some skin

Jordan, that Marans egg is beautiful! Did you build some different pens? The set up looks a little different to me. The NNs are cute, but I'm glad they are YOURS!!!

Thanks, Fowltemptress! They are one of those breeds you either love or hate. You just have to bring one home and he'll love it! Get it as a chick first, the chicks are adorable. He will fall in love!


Thanks, Lynn! I got one a day from her these past two days, they were just as dark. They are beautiful, and she still has no name! I saw a dark lump in the box after getting the first one and thought it was a broody poop. So, I reached in to pick it out and it was another dark egg! Nope, still the same pens. These probably look different because I took the pics through the coop door that leads to the run,lol. The pens in the back of the run are my Bantam NN pen and my cousin's pen. Im glad you like the NNs! Im determined to get one in your flock,lol.

Jordan, those NN's are soooo grrrooossssss!!! They give me the heebie-jeebies just looking at them!!! Especially that one with the naked shoulders!!! I know you put these pics on here just to creep people like me out!!!

(shudder, shudder) LOL!!! Hey, I have a great idea! I can crochet each of them a scarf or maybe a half-sweater to hide their scrawny, red necks!!! Ha!!!

That roo is gorgeous, though, and so is your Ameraucana, so I guess your taste in chickens does have a couple of redeeming qualities!

I'll tell you what, the next time we go to a chicken show, I'll help you pick out some proper chickens!!! Is it a deal?
