Got surprised with 2 chicks...and I wasnt ready!

If you can find a used shed or other small building, it would make a good coop. I would not recommend a little prefab coop. They are notoriously advertised to house more chickens than they should, are poorly built and don’t have adequate ventilation or roost space.
I agree with this. But we might be getting into the season where the prefab coops are on sale. If you find one on sale and can afford to purchase a prefab one while you are building the other one, it may come in handy. What ever the prefab coop says for how many chickens can fit in it, you need to cut that number in half for a realistic number. I built my own coop and run but also found a prefab coop that was on sale... this is my Chicken Hospital when needed.
 
If they have down and not feathers, they are under a week old. Let them have water until you go to bed. Take it away from them overnight. They will be okay without water overnight. Chicks have to be dry and warm. ♥
They have some regular feathers on their wings, back and tail, but still have some chick fluff.
They are about 4 inches tall give or take.
