Got the coop done today, the run is the project for tomorrow!

I am going to be doing a similar thing with an established shed. My question is what did you use to cut the hole out to the run. Im new to construction and trying to decide if I have the tools I need.

Tin snips,it was not easy. Drill four holes one in each corner to get the spot marked and get the snips started. If you cut the hole smaller than needed, then cut slits in the left over tin to the correct size, then bend the "tabs" down inside the hole you get rid of sharp edges that might cut the birds.

Omg... that coop/run looks awesome!! Great job!

Got the wire on the sides of the run,we let the girls out to see the world for the first time. (I have the "strip steps" on the ramp board now)

Here is a tool that I made in a bout 60 seconds to stretch the wire.

You attach the wire on the top of the run board, then hook the four nails on the tool in the wire at the bottom and put your knee on it pulling the wire tight and holding it as you staple it. It made it go ALOT faster!
