Hahaha they sure did! Chevy`s Vega wasn`t much better either! They didn`t catch fire but they had plenty of issues! They did make an awesome hot rod when a Chevy v8 was swapped into one!Kept ya busy, eh?
I remember one getting rear ended not far from here and catching on fire but I can`t remember if anyone got hurt or worse!I recall a lot of talk about how deadly they were because of their fuel tank location but I don't remember ever hearing of any one losing their life.
Hahaha lol! I actually had a 1970 Nova SS with a 4 speed it did go lol!If I remember correctly, Ford Pintos didn't sell well in Spanish-speaking countries because "pinto" was (is?) a slang term for a small male body part.
The Chevy Nova had a similar problem because in Spanish "no va" means "it doesn't go."
-and I drove a 1968 Nova. -my first car!Hahaha lol! I actually had a 1970 Nova SS with a 4 speed it did go lol!![]()
