got these hens for free what breed are they

not laying eggs yet we are hoping soon they are younger birds

Easter egger. Call them by the correct name from the start than no one gets confused. She looks like she has a month to go.

Those definitely look like easter eggers- you may be seeing blue and green eggs soon, though they sometimes lay brown as well.

I agree, Easter Eggers and Ameraucanas are always getting confused for each other.

thank you I am excited to see what they lay for me I will be posting some pictures of some chicks we got from cackle hatchery I ordered the frypan special and they sent me a few different types so I will post to see if you can help me find out what they sent me
