You guys probably remember me asking a bunch of questions about setting up a ten gallon tank not too long ago. I really wanted to do everything by the book.

Anyways, its been almost six weeks since I've had the tank set up and cycling (with one betta as its inhabitant). I've tested the water a few times and all my nitrates, nitrites, pH, and everything else under the sun is in check. Soooo...I finally decided to pick up two platies. I decided on a beautiful yellow mickey mouse platy and a yellow, black and orange tuxedo looking platy. So far all is well! My betta gets along with them fine, the two platies seem healthy, and the tank seems to be handling the load well!

I am really looking forward to stocking the tank over the next few months!

Yeah for ya! So many color varieties it can be tough to choose.

I keep them with my angelfish, but every now and then I have a heart and put a heavy female in a 10 gallon tank and raise out the young. I had a mickey mouse cross with a blue, that created some pretty little fish. I've thought about doing just a tank of them when the angelfish are gone. It's either that, or set up another reef tank.

Enjoy your new babies.
