Also farm animals are in a totally different category. Like apples and oranges there a fruit but totally different and you use them for different flavors. We butcher anything that gets tagged think about we kill them and we eat them.....goats, lamb, cows, and chickens Are you gonna kill a dog and/or cat and eat it same with a infant/child but you can do some things to some that you can't another you have to have good judgment and no the difference why you can and can't.....I would certainly hope not....the normal answer would be no. So you don't do the things you do to one animal to another just because they are an animal.

this ones a cultural argument though...

cats and dogs are only different because in OUR culture they are pets and cows and sheep ect, are livestock...
in some cultures cows are sacred and cats and dogs are meat...

would i ever eat dog or cat...
no...because to ME...that animals is a companion...

but someone from a different culture could say the same in reverse...
in peru guinnea pig is a commonly consumed meat...
in most of europe and the usa there pets...

so...slippy slope on that mind set...​

Okay way completely off topic here, but your post made me think about something I saw another BYC'er post at some point...and once I read that post it has really made me think about things in a different light....

It went something along the lines of the laws in our country being unfair and that......

Its okay for me to eat a cow in front of my hindu neighbor, but its not okay for my Vietnamese neighbor to eat a dog infront of me.

I know WAY off topic here, but I now think of that post often and it helps me see things from different points of view.

OK she's an idiot. Piercing an animal because you think it will be neat and you can sell it on the internet... UGH! As for the type of piercing. Ok ears I won't cry over so much as long as it's not excessive. Once is fine because it can be comparable to live stock tagging. 20 and 30 steel rings through the ears because it looks cool... no.

Now we come to the neck. I've vetoing the neck altogether. That's just cruel. You see the neck will never heal right. it doesn't even heal right on people. They constantly get infected and the body tries to reject it. Eventually the body will push the piercing out anyway and it can be painful. So no you moronic woman it is not cool to pierce a black cat's neck.

As for the whole Gothic Kitten thing, well I find it to be rather insulting to the gothic community that she would do something like this.

I could relate a single earring to a cow's ear tag, or a chicken's wing tag, and that's fine by me, but multiple piercings in multiple places just for fun? No way.

Still, I don't really know about the legal aspect of it all.
