Has anyone used a GPS tracker (like Tile or Air Tag) to keep track of a chicken? I live in a neighborhood and all my hens are well-behaved except for one, who loves to roam for multiple days on end until a neighbor tells me she’s been spotted.

I may be mistaken, but I believe those devices are bluetooth trackers and not GPS trackers. The difference being bluetooth trackers require the tag to be in close proximity to a compatible device - any Apple device (regardless of who it belongs to) will send a location for a nearby airtag.

I bought a GPS tracker for my dog after she escaped and they are probably too big for a chook (though they do smaller cat ones) and they need charging at least once a week. You also need to pay a subscription for these.

If you live in a built up area then the chances of an airtag / tile will work well.
