So I recently bought a gqf 1200 and a gqf hatcher. They both have the wafer thermostat. I'm considering putting an electronic thermostat in both, are those better than the wafers? And how do you install it ? I'm having trouble getting the correct temps with the wafers

Also any other tips on using these? I've inly used styrofoam ones before so the cabinet incubators are completely new to me

First thing you could try is changing the wafers..Wafers are fine with circulated air incubators. Are electronic better/accurate, Yes but they will still hold temp within half a degree up and down during the warm-up/cool-down cycle. Meaning when set to appx 100.0° it should go down to about 99.5° before the heating element kicks on and no higher than 100.5° after it kicks off..Least all of mine have. With a slow thermometer it wont move that much..
Now if you decide to switch it to a electronic then no they are not hard to replace at all..Just a couple wires..
