GQF incubator

Bought an older GQF model 12 66. The top thermostat reads about three or 4° warmer than the bottom one or they should be the same or is that top one gonna be always warmer

I don't know anything about that particular incubator, but something's wrong with it if its temperature is 4 degrees different from one end of it to the other.

It's a cabinet incubator with the heat source and fan at the top so that's always hard to keep an even temp throughout.
I had the model that was even older and it did the same but not 4° difference. Idk, maybe someone using one now will chime in.
Maybe your fan isn't blowing as hard as it should.
If it was mine and I couldn't figure it out I'd add a light socket to the bottom. Run the cord out a small hole I drilled or out the vent hole and leave it plugged in all the time. If you're handy you could run the wire up the back and wire it in with the heating element so it runs off the thermostat also.
Experiment with 25, 40 or whatever watt bulb to get it till its even or closer to it.
