I just bought a used 1202 upgraded to an electronic thermostat. I let it run a couple hours then put my new Brinsea spot check in to see if the thermometers were right on the gqf. The spot check showed 102-103 and the thermostat was still calling for heat. I adjusted the thermometer down as far as it would go and it was still calling for heat at 102 according to the spot check. Might I have either a bad thermostat or inacurrate spot check or have I not gave it enough time to regulate properly?

Thanks

When I bought my G.Q.F. incubator I was told to run it for about 8 hours at my desired tempature before I put the eggs in. I was lucky because it all came pre-set and I didn't have to do anything. I think if I were you I would run it for a few more hours and try a different thermometer and the Brinsea and see if they have the same or different readings.

Never mind. I messed up. Thanks anyway.

Inquiring minds want to know what the deal was?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Apparently I cant read instructions and turned the set point up not down. It regulated great after I did things right. Go figure. The probes that came with it are not too sensitive though I will probably just use them for humidity.
