Grabbing the new chicken out if the house to clip wings

I'm trying to get my new chicken out of the coop to clip the wings and every time I reach in to pull her out she either flys around and loudly klucks or she bites and pecks at me. Should I just aggressively grab her???

I would wait until she goes to bed and take her off the roost. They get a little trance-like after dark and she will be much easier to handle gently. Less stress for all involved.

I just figured this out right before I checked back, as It got darker and colder she was much more calm and I just wrapped my arms around her body and grabbed ahold of her legs.

It is amazing how subdued they are when it is dark.
