Graduate School *freaking out a bit*

Here is my updated plan.

1 - Enrolled in the local community college to obtain my Chemical Dependency Professional license (45 credits that are specific to WA State). If I didn't already have an A.A. it would be 90 credits. I start September 22. I thought I had to have my B.S. confirmed (LU is dragging their feet about it) so was going to start in Winter. TCC was awesome. I sent my request for my education award, 30 minutes later got an email saying they had received the award notice and credited my account. Also asked if it was correct I wanted classes to start in Winter. I explained about wanting to start in Fall but thought I couldn't. They updated my registration to Fall and I start in a couple of week!

2 - Grad school starts in October and I will be going part-time. At least until I see how difficult it is trying to do both programs at the same time.

3 - I have been on the wait list for the Certified Peer Counselor (CPC) Training through the state of WA for the last year. I finally got an email last night that I have been assigned to go in October. Classes start October 13 - 24. It is 40 hours a week.

By the time I am done with this portion of my education I will look like the above picture

Wowza...like they say, when it rains it pours! But it's all good. You have to keep us posted on how it all is working out for you.

We meet with DH's surgeon to schedule his surgery to have the cath's placed for dialysis. His kidney function is now at 10% and his other numbers are really high.

School is going to take some tweaking but then that is why I only do school that I can do online.

Hope your husband's surgery goes well. Keep us posted on how everything is going, ok?

I will. For the most part all of my social interactions happen online lol

You guys are the only ones who understand my chicken addiction as well. Speaking of which I added four Lemon Cuckoo Orpingtons. I think I have two cockerels and two pullets. They are 12 weeks old.

Congratulations on the newest members to your flock family! I'll have to look those up so to get an idea of what that breed looks like.

And I know what you mean about being here...the national and world news is horrible & depressing, and since we live in the middle of no-where (by choice), it's hard to make contact with the outside world. Love BYC and you meet the nicest people here!

Best of wishes to you on your grad school and your DH on his surgery.

How are the new chicks doing?
