Hello :)
This is my first post on this forum....regarding freezing the oat bran that I use to feed my mealies......does this definitely kill all grain mites that may be present or would they simply hatch out again once at room temperature?
I had a nightmare with grain mites so all advice will be hugely appreciated, I read microwaving them killed them all off , so which is best??? Freezing or microwaving??
Thank you all in advance xx

Out of those two microwave. They can live in stasis while at standard freezer temperatures. If you can use the oven it will work better. 30-40 minutes in a 200 degree oven and kill the heat. Let the substrate cool in the oven. That should do the deed. Any questions let me know.
