That way it's easier to move & if there are any they cannot just crawl on out, but i did this before I knew there were grain mites!Ok, forgive my ignorance, but what are the benefits to transferring the feed to the 5 gallon buckets? Oh god not another one of you crazy DE loversI truly believe DE is worthless, but I've heard it's good for grain mites. Anyone have any input here?
If the dog feed is pellets, freeze it as well.Well I am still new to this & this is what had been proven in the past for some, so I will try it, plus I will add it to my dogs feed

My freezer is not that big, or cold.Every time you buy new feed, just put it in the freezer for 2-3 days and after mix it with DE while decanting into your metal bins.
