I have a BA who turned a year old 3/17 and she hasn't been the best layer. She was egg bound with a very soft shelled egg that was removed by an emergency vet and she's dropped two very soft shelled ones in the yard which were promptly scooped up by the rest of the flock.

She laid an egg yesterday that was grainy on one end. What would cause this? She gets oyster grit, egg shells, treats and 16% protien DuMor chicken feed, plus she has access to our backyard.

    Any ideas?
