Grammarians UNITE!

Is her name Mrs. Hopkins, or is it Mrs Hopkin?

If her name naturally ends in an s, then you add the apostrophe to the end of the word. I suspect that's the case.

You must be from the south. People say that where I am from in there every day language.

We are in California. She also says "anywheres". Sounds so darned tacky!

Is she from the south? I am from TN, and I have family that sounds just like that.

Please understand, I am not picking on BYC members. Not at all. It's just the way the world is going. Bad grammar is everywhere. There are no rules anymore.

Nope. Just redneck-like.

Saw a sign when I went home. It should have said: Fire wood for sale, but it said: Far wood 4 sale. My DH couldn't stop laughing, and I told him that isn't nice.

Ah, that reminds me! Near my house, there's a small private used car sales place, decent sort of place, not a rip off... but it used to be "Bill's Auto Sales" now, it seems his son is involved, and he had a new sign put up. "Bill's and Son Auto Sales" DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!

Wouldn't have been quite so bad if it were a home painted sign that he just added to to save money I suppose, but it's a new sign he paid for!!!!

JennsPeeps - THANK YOU! I try to be accurate and proper with my writing...I did NOT know about unique! Thanks so much!

The "to/too/two" thing irks me a bit, I have to confess.
