grammys make me feel old

I used to dislike her just because of her name. But then I heard her songs. I think she just wants to have a totally random name to make people think she's odd. By the way she dresses we think she's odd as well, so she achieved her goal I guess. She's quite unique.

I don't watch the grammys, but I read on Yahoo that she arrived in a giant egg. She should have come out holding a chicken!

http://www.thehollywoodgossip.com/2...tity-from-lina-morgana-mother-of-late-teen-c/ <---- this is why I was googling Gaga in the first place. Weird story. There's another video called Wonderland with GaGa as backup for this chick. I've never seen either of them thanks to dial up. I think the music industry molds these girls and that is all there is to it. I don't think it's a performers personality or influences behind the looks so much as it is a marketing scheme.

I quit watching after Muse... (their stage presentation was kinda fun)

Lady GaGa has made quite a name for herself, and I say more power to her!

I did enjoy the tribute to Aretha Franklin, always enjoyed her. (did anyone catch at the end, I think C. Agulara fell or stumbled after they panned way back with the camera.) She made a comment when they did the first awards announcement.

I was bummed that my band didn't get their grammy, but to lose out to a big name band like Iron maiden, and to compete with others of that status... I think they've done well for themselves! I'm just glad I'm going to yet another one of their concerts here in March!

Lady Gaga has invented herself to what you see in pictures. In truth, she is probably the smartest business woman in music since Madonna. Not to say I like either one, but I certainly appreciate a woman that can turn herself into a multi millionaire by the age of 24. And, because of her costumes, no one has a clue what she really looks like, so she can lead a normal life!!! You see what she wants you to see. I respect that.

And Justin Beiber looks like a lighter haired Donny Osmond. Hairdo and all.

I guess she's playing to her market, which doesn't say much about her market....She'll never get a dime from me.

I like the ability many have here to hold themselves away from popular culture. SO much of that is pointless drivel. I mean, the Kardashian's? Where did those hooligans come from - how did THEY become our national conscience?

I recently caught a snippet of the movie "Flatliners." During the films climactic ending, Keifer Sutherland's character, "Nelson," realizes that there are no insignificant actions.
In the movie, the things he did when he was young and stupid have come back to haunt him - literally.

"Everything we do matters!" he exclaims.

We talk about Lady Gaga for the moment. But she represents an entire culture, and an entire industry packaging our ideals for us.
If everything we do DOES matter, then what will their legacy be?

Just Say NO to ETV!
