Granddaughter Finds Our first Egg

Awwe that's so sweet! I noticed one of our five and a half month olds in the nesting box today, I plan to go check and see if she payed an egg. Her best friend, who is a couple weeks older, has already started laying so I know Speckles isn't far behind!!

My 7-year old Ameraucana EE just layed her first egg in months! I didn't think that they lay while raising chicks? (We hatched eggs two months ago)

My pullets are 19, 16 and maybe 14 weeks old. I am feeding chick grower, I move there pen every 2 days they have sand and grit mixed. They eat grass and bugs. After we found the egg I put oyster shells in a separate container! .

Yea, and Daisy was nowhere near her first egg: she's 382 weeks!!! (I just felt like figuring out the weeks, really this is her 7th year) 7 is still pretty good for layin' eggs! I thought she was done for good!
