Wow, I can relate to your post. Great building!

My grandpa raised about 2000 laying hens in a block building here in Ohio. The building is still in the family but starting to fall down due to erosion along the back wall. It hasn't been used for chickens since the 60s, so really all signs of chickens are gone. It's a tractor/machine shop now. I find the old building is always cold and damp. I wouldn't have wanted it for my chickens now.

But I know how you feel about chicken loving being passed along in the blood.
