I saw him dance several times back in the 70’s and early 80’s. He really did get this high on his grand jetés. He was just extraordinary, just a bit short when partnering tall dancers like Natalia Makarova. Utterly effortless. Phenomenal.

Unfortunately a dog came through 2 weeks ago and got her and 6 others. Hopefully I got some of her eggs in the incubator but I did get some of her sisters so there is that.

Aww I'm sorry...

It sucks but with free ranging comes risk. Thankfully our dog normally keeps threats away and what she doesn't the neighbors LGDs do. It was a fluke day. At least my incubator was already loaded up and my neighbor lent me hers as well so over the next few weeks I should have up to 24 chicks hatching not including the 5 Yeti my silkie decided needed to happen. Yesterday was day 18 on some eggs of my staggered hatches. So I put them into lockdown. Half have hatched already while the other half have already pipped today. 2 days early the eager things.
