Once when my mother was a little girl in the 50's, the family dog got into a neighbor's coop and killed a dozen chickens. My grandmother's solution to this problem was 1. get new chickens for the lost ones, and 2. get a dressed bird from the market and tie it to the dog's neck. Summer-time=hot & humid, with a chicken tied to the dog's neck right where he couldn't get it. The chicken stayed there for a week, rotting. After the "treatment" the dog would cower with his tail between his legs at the mere sight of a chicken, even a cooked one in the house.

Spoze the humane society would have a anneurism if they heard of that these days. LOL

I've also staked doges into holes they've dug and attached shoes or other things they chew on.... ususally works really well.

Ya the same ones crying the loudest about about animal abuse "usually" have the most undisciplined KIDS and pets:cool:
