I searched the forum but didn't find an answer. I am on week#2 with my Grandpa Feeder. I have 3 hens. They did good the first week. Today starts week#2 and I noticed its noisy when they step off the stoop and they run away. Will they get used to this noise? I'm thinking yes just need piece of mind. Thank you!

They will get used to it! Especially if you put a little scratch or a few meal worms in with the chicken chow...

Are they still on the training bolt setting or have they graduated to full open/full close?

They are on the second week - so the halfway mark! Thats how I have been getting them used to it, by putting the mealworms in the feeder!

oh....3rd day today of the second week of training. They are NOT eating. I know because I put treats in the middle and I still see it there. I see them trying but spook off when the lid moves. I relented and put a brick on the pedestal so they will eat a little. Will take off and try again after work. What else can I do??

Well as I said I put a brick on the pedestal so the lid stays open so they will eat. And they are (I took a peek at lunch) all you saw was chicken butts. They are not afraid of the feeder, just don't like that lid flying open.
