Thank you, all of you, for the warm welcome. I would crawl into my computer and live in the chicken forum for awhile if I could. That is how much more fulfilled I feel knowing chicken people and anticipating having my own chickens once again this spring.

Hi from Oklahoma! Your post touched me; though I haven't had chickens of my own, I remember when my grandparents had them. My mother had guineas for years, and was always sad when one got hit by a car, or disappeared to most likely coyotes, owls, skunks, etc. That is the only thing I dread about having chickens. I'm glad you are able to get back into it again; I'm sorry for your loss, and wish you much luck and blessings.
