sheers are perfect. dont need anything else IMO. tree is so unusual . real Christmas tree is pretty too !
Camping I think it would be fun to make . Hot glue goes pretty fast.

I posted some pics of it on the old thread. If I can find them, I can repost. Or even easier, take new ones tomorrow. It is a Coast Live Oak. Evergreen with small spiky leathery leaves, kind of like holly. Small acorns and smooth-ish bark. They can get huge and it should not be so close to the house. We keep thinking it should be cut down, but don't want to do it. So far it's doing okay and not damaging the foundation. That would suck. It's only about 10 ft away from the house. Was a quarter the size it is now when we moved in 15 yrs ago. There are several in the back too. One is massive!

I put Junior, the Serama, back up in the bantam coop this afternoon. Everything went well... the rooster was very excited to see her. You should have heard them chatting together, so sweet. Since everyone was getting along, I left to get them some fresh water, and sure enough, a fight broke out! Junior got jumped by another hen who is broody right now. Junior was trying to defend herself, but Stumpy was being very aggressive. I know Stumpy started it and now I know how Junior's eye got injured. She had a bite mark just above the same eye! Dang Stumpy. There was some swelling and a little blood blister, but at least it missed the eyeball this time. Poor Junior.

Junior got to stay in the coop...

and some other friends.

Stumpy is going to get a couple weeks of solitary confinement... see if we can't adjust her attitude.

You might be amazed but the builders are here, since 8:30 working on the soffits! Right outside my windows. Modern day miracle. Glad i closed the shades last night!
