Granny's gone and done it again

I know :hit suggestions? They are in the garage away from the others. Thank god I isolated them!

Ally, That really pizzes me off. My suggestion would be to cull them and disinfect imm. I am so sorry. You need your money back from this seller too. Isolation is very important. Corzo stinks. MG dont. Denaguard is the best treatment for them if you chose that way.

I’m so angry. I spent a lot of time and money to go get them. Over $100.
They are in the garage away from my other birds. Idk what to do.
Keep away from your other chickens. Change your shoes and clothes if you go near their coop. Some diseases are THAT contagious.
Are there any other symptoms yet? You usually can't tell what they have until the disease progresses.
This has some quick descriptions to help diagnose if you are keeping them. https://morningchores.com/chicken-diseases/

I sent her a message. They claim travel stress then respiratory/sinus infection.
They are in the garage and I don’t step in their pen.
That is total BS. Of course travel can cause stress, but that only brings out the disease that they were ALREADY INFECTED WITH.:rant It did NOT likely come from your end, as you kept them isolated and the incubation period seems too short. (How long have you had them?) Ergo, she sold you infected birds! Ask her how many times this has happened to others she has sold. You should get a refund or replacement birds if you are going to cull, but I wouldn't want replacement birds from her, because she obviously has disease carriers in her flock and it will just happen again.

She said she hasn’t had any respiratory trouble. The most she had was leg mites.
This happened to me too. Older chicks had a 6 hr drive to get here (I met them partway) and by the next day they were sneezing. I called the breeder and he ran right out to check on his birds, and sure enough, there was one pen that was sneezing that had been near the chicks. He culled them all and sent one off for necropsy... results showed CRD (I think?) and I didn't want it in my flock so I culled them. He sent replacements, free shipping, AFTER a waiting period to ensure his flock was clear. Responsible guy.
The pen he culled was a recent purchase from a woman he had bought from before. He kept them semi-isolated, but got lax since he's had birds from this source before with no trouble. He contacted her, and she claimed that none of her birds were sick. Of course. Denial is rampant in the chicken world, but that lady sent you infected birds. She doesn't want a bad reputation, does she?

so your spray from the nose goes into the mouth ? Cant I just eat some salt ?
No, the whole idea is to kill bacteria in your sinuses and nose . You taste it because a tiny bit drains down the throat and hits your mouth. Salt in your mouth will not travel up to your sinuses unless you stand on your head for a while.:lau

well its been a while but I guess I could give it a go. Snort salt. Got it.
I honestly dont think I can do that. I never tried though. I think its from having my nose pushed in an evergreen. allergy might be trying to turn infectious . I feel fine

everyone is mad for you today Ally. We all know where you got it from regardless of what others say.
Have you checked the cow lately ?
Hi Wishing.
Howdy! Makes my blood boil. Most of us don't check our chickens well enough to detect a mild case of something or another. We only see it when the chicken gets very ill OR if we have new darling chicks that we are inspecting carefully every day. If that woman bought chicks from someone and they had bubbly eyes, you can bet she'd be asking for her money back.:tongue

Can you have an excessive amount of green snot and NOT be sick?
Depends. Is it just in the morning? In lungs or sinuses? If the green goes away after a good couple of blows, it might just be green from sitting overnight, bacteria had a chance to grow a bit. Hubs had head cold and coughed up green every morning, but it was coming from his sinuses while sleeping. Cleared on it's own eventually, but he's still hacking a bit. It's going around... seems everybody has it. :(
