Granny's gone and done it again

Loosing my neighbor I've had for about 15 years. Been a good friend. Couple of years ago he had several strokes within a few days which left him in a wheelchair needing his 50ish year old son to take care of him. Now his son has sold the place and moving them to Oklahoma where they have more kinfolk to help with the care and the son can go back to work, which I understand that. But now I'm the only old person I know. Feel kind of alienated.

That's tough, Pert. Maybe there is a club you could join or take some dancing lessons (there are never enough men!).
Message me your address... maybe a bunch of cards will help cheer you up! :hugs

Super quickie Hi to Wishing, and everyone else! Yes, I've been lurking when and if I get a chance. Our house got flooded by our water heater on September 9 (3 months ago tomorrow!) and I don't get much time off from working on it. We haven't even been able to live there all this time. It flooded 3/4 of our house and the restoration company that our insurance company suggested took 27 days to dry it out and also ripped out walls, tore off trim, cut up cabinets..basically ruined the rest of the house. So when I'm not working there, I'm running back and forth to Lowes or on the phone arguing with insurance and mortgage companies. Gotta run off again for now. I'll try to keep up better and talk more later. Miss you all! ❤️

Terrible. That happened to my aunt in Farmington. Cost her a lot to get it fixed up. Good luck and great to hear from you!
