You know, I made a prosthetic leg for a chicken once out of legos. hahaa Took me forever to figure something out. Went to a wood turner and he was going to make it a peg leg when it finished growing but the poor thing never got that far.

isnt that crazy ? LOL Making legs for chickens. Guy thought I was nuts but $$ talks . It was pretty easy because she still had a leg but it was bent at the knee froze like that. I would wrap her lower leg in gauze then velcro that lego leg on . hahaha took a min. to figure out how tight I could make it so it didnt swivel out on her. I used yellow legos so the others wouldnt peck her. Figured I could add on easy enough as she grew.

16 two week old chicks went 18 hours without heat. Only 1 chick died. It probably smothered cause they were in a tight pile when I fed & watered them. Got 4 eggs today.

Jane, I didnt know you had 2 week old littles. Did you bring them inside ? What kind are they? Mine did the same thing and I lost one of 16.

It was cold inside house too. No heat. I stayed in bed under 2 quilts. They are surprise special from ideal poultry.
