oops the city did RAISE their mill levy from 223.100 to 226.600 BASSTURDS !!!! but reduced the taxable value which is state law. The "true and full value" MUST be with in 10% of the actual sale value.

yep NO snow, not done baking, and cards/letter to write and tax bills. SO much for the Christmas spirit.

Christmas is in your heart, not on paper or in the snow. Just do cards this yr if you dont have time. I am sure you have enough cookies to last a long while too. Put the tax bill away . It aint due yet.

honestly there should NOT be property taxes period IMHO since with them you never actually own your property even if it is paid for. Because if you don't pay your taxes for X number of years (here it's 3 years) the government will take it away and auction it off for back taxes.

honestly there should NOT be property taxes period IMHO since with them you never actually own your property even if it is paid for. Because if you don't pay your taxes for X number of years (here it's 3 years) the government will take it away and auction it off for back taxes.
