Ally, are your chicks all healed up ? I have lost 4 and one still with a bad foot

Yep! 4 days of VetRX only and they were perfect. Wasn’t even a whole week of symptoms. They are still separated from my other chickens until January. They are growing like weeds! One of the paints molted most of the black away and the other looks more like a splash than a paint now. Trying to keep an eye on combs too.

oK Granny your name sake's daughter just like her mother managed to screw up one of her horn caps and its even the same side horn The red is not an ear tag but blood. We think she did it jumping/crawling in and out of the hay feeder.

gave up on trying for full body shots. Which I should have done before loading into the chute. Evidently my brain got cold as well.

Instead of adding them take one of your older ones you maybe dont like that well and add it to them. Just because they healed dont mean they are not carriers .

Hailey is quite the "mother hen" with this years calves and also HEAD BOSS of the works and I think she is enjoying it.

Twist, I have been seeing a few crosses lately that have purple cloth draped on them. Is there a special reason for this ?

There was a good wreck on Enchanted Highway on my way home. Didn't look like anyone was hurt to badly and 3 other cars had already pull off to help. Her suv was on its side and halfway up the other side of the ditch. Road not so good on the way home. I think she must of had cruise on and driving to fast and then hit a snowy/stick to the road section.
