NOPE and then just pull out run under warmish water and the skins squeeze right off. Then toss into what ever your making be it hotdish or spagetthi or homemade mater soup.
 
Lisa made me tomato juice, regular canned and stewed. They are delicious . Taste like fresh picked

that's how they should taste if the person canning knows what they are doing and I know CL does
