At the pet shop they would ask me to identify the species of birds in mixed shipments. They had no idea, but i knew. I figured, i can do this better than they can. So after i graduated with my degree in biology, i got married and we moved in with his parents once we built an apartment in their basement. Cap never got mine and I didnt put return addresses on any of them. I think everyone else did.

Husband worked a job selling food for a distributor and later he worked in a mattress store.
But the pet store got so busy he quit and started helping me. Our business grew. I raised mice and hamsters, finches, canaries and cockatiels. When we opened our second store, a friend of mine who was an alcoholic wanted me to hire her to groom dogs. I said sure if u do a good job. So we built a grooming shop in the back of our store. My friend did do a good job grooming but she was very slow so she couldn't make enough money. Groomers came, groomers went. But there was a good demand for grooming so i decided to learn how to groom. Got my license and started grooming. Cont....

Eventually i got pregnant and quit grooming in the store. But i built a grooming shop in the basement and groomed out of our house. At this same time i was raising dogs. And showing them. And teaching obedience classes. Cont....

After 2 kids were born, we decided to build a house in the country on the ocean. Once out there we still had the dogs but not as many grooming customers . So i created a packing company to take bulk feed and seed and package it in convenient sized packages to sell in our stores. By now we had 8 stores in 2 provinces. We built the interiors of the stores ourselves. We sold a lot of kittens and puppies, just mixtures that people were glad to get rid of. I would check them over and only take healthy ones. I would deworm them and vaccinate them and then sell them . Continued...
