Increase in traffic accidents is probably the worst thing. More people walking around in a haze. Gateway to worse stuff. CA will probably handle it fine. Pot has been part of the culture for many many decades, it's just legal now. They even have a big event at the fairgrounds. https://theemeraldcup.com/ hahahaa! Going to be the same trouble as alcohol. I'm libertarian at heart, and think people should be free to make their own decisions, including the bad ones, but they need to take responsibility for their decisions, not me.

DD just said she had to move all the kids to the shop. her whole house froze up.

People who want to medicate themselves for whatever reason will seek mind altering drugs. The easier it is to get those drugs, the easier it will be for people to "experiment" and get hooked and want more. Access for kids is most concerning.
